Keeping your feet happy…

Healthy feet are important for feeling good and staying active.

Carry out a foot inspection regularly-especially if you are diabetic, as diabetes can lead to higher risk of foot sores and infections.

Peeling and scaling in between toes can signal the presence of athletes foot.

Cut the nails straight across.  Drastically cutting down the sides  can cause in growing toenails.

Thickened,, cracked and crumbling nails could signal a fungal infection.

Head off sweaty feet by wearing natural fibres, ie wool and cotton socks and leather shoes. New synthetic  products like Goretex help feet to breathe.

Finally, wear well  fitting and supportive footwear.
